    : Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester / Renaud Capuçon / Manfred Honeck

    Reunion at the highest level: conductor Manfred Honeck and violinist Renaud Capuçon once started their world careers with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. Now they present Korngold’s Film Music Violin Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony together.

    : Harbour Front Literature Festival

    Harbour Front is back! After a year's break, Hamburg's most important literary festival returns and brings a whole host of literary stars to the Hanseatic city. You can look forward to cult authors such as Dan Brown and Ian McEwan.

    For 25 years, Mostar Sevdah Reunion has been delighting audiences with their mix of traditional songs, Balkan rhythms and jazzy influences. They embody the diverse culture of the Balkans – a mixture that crosses borders and touches hearts.

    : Orchestra of the Royal Opera House / Jakub Hrůša

    The Czech star conductor loves the mythical orchestral repertoire of his homeland. With Dvořák’s »The Spectre’s Bride«, he discovers another treasure for large orchestra, choir and soloists as the new chief conductor of London’s Royal Opera.

    : SWR Symphonieorchester & Vokalensemble / François-Xavier Roth

    Schubert’s »Grand C major«, a baroque dance suite and a symphonic magnum opus full of quotations from music history: François-Xavier Roth and his orchestra invite you to an evening full of contrasts that brilliantly becomes a great whole.

    : Vienna Philharmonic / Lukas Sternath / Tugan Sokhiev

    Prokofiev in America, Stravinsky in Paris: In the program of the Vienna Philharmonic featuring shooting star Lukas Sternath, the two Russian avant-gardists come together, bringing a dialogue of dance ecstasy, sonic intoxication, jazz, and folklore.

    : Rossini: »Petite messe solennelle«

    Rossini composed his mass as a mixture of sacred and secular music. The instrumental accompaniment of piano and harmonium leaves plenty of room for the vocal parts – perfect for Thomas Hengelbrock and his Balthasar Neumann Choir.

    : Symphoniker Hamburg

    The Hamburg Symphony Orchestra and its chief conductor Sylvain Cambreling have put on a programme between Romanticism and Modernism for the opening of the season in the Laeiszhalle: Lachenmann's »Schreiben« meets Mahler's First Symphony.
